Actually its my first time to touch the forecasting fashion . In the beginning of the class , i was confusing a lot . However , after few weeks i begin to more and more understand what is forecasting and how the forecasting important in our daily life . And i was try my best to understand what teacher said in the leeson and did the practise after the school . After serveral practise like field trip and choose trend board  . Now i also not very good but at least in this module i learnt a lots of different skills as a trendforecaster. Thank u very much

what : A book shop in tiong bharu which include different kinds of book and interesting small things

when: From 2007

how: this shop can attract different kinds of people . if some people going to find books  they also may be attracted by the small things . If people heard this shop selling a lot of childhood things but they also will stop the step to finding interesting books .

when : she opened this shop after she graduated

how :this is not only a fashion shop but also a cafe. when the people looking the desgin they also can have a seat to enjoy a cup of coffee

when:from 1952

how :  its a chinese hospital but now is a western resturant . Its combine the east an wear really well and show the respect to the old people

when : currently inside customer almost is western people .

how : This shop is so interesting because inside provide the coffee and  reading area . haircut also a part of fashion , Rely on this shop , maybe in the future more fashion shop can provide some special service for the customer , The module is fashion forecasting , I think this is really a big trend for shop or a brand

  During two times filed trip, i learnt a lot of new things .From beginning in this module , i do not even know what is forecasting . However during two times field  trip i find a lot of new and interesting things and begin to know what is trend and how to make a trend and beign to know how to do it as a trendforecaster .

  For the second field trip , i choose telok ayer and nearby amoy street . I find a lot of interesting things .

 #1. From outside i found this is a small clinic but when i go inside i found it is a resturant ,so i go inside ask staff ,they say before it was a hosptial but now the owner passed away so they open a restaurant here but they want to respect the old people so they never change outside .

  

#2 At telok ayer street i also find a lot of temples , this is a chinese temple . Special thing is inside a lot of indians . I feel blief is not sepearte people . If u got blief you can go anywhere for pray 

#3This is a supermarket but i find inside there have a small salad bar . Its so cool because they dont waste the food , they used the near expire day vegetables to making salad for people and also make people eat more convinient  . 

 

 #4This is a hairshop for man i never go inside because they were very busy that time . At outside i find it is so unique and special . This hair shop provide reading area and coffee while you are waiting . And if you go for haircut ,then you can have free coffee 

 

 #5This shop name is lauren jasmine. Its singapore local designer shop. Actually she is a fashion designer . However in this shop she not only sell fashion she also sell coffee and dessert . Its very special for the fashion shop 

lilia yip work shop

  In this work shop ,lilia yip told us how the fabric important and changed the world . She gave us some expamle of fabric factory in china and india . And also a lot of problems . We began to know the importance of fabric , if do not have fabric all designer cannot exist.

In the group discuss, we trying to find how to solve some problems in the fabric factory such as pollution.

 In nowadays nobody like waiting so a lot of shops they find way to reduce people waiting time. one of the example would be Pizza hut. With a call, you could have your pizza being delivered in a short time.

is how people did something to be known by public with a hidden meaning behind it

Sympathetic Pricing
is the pricing is set based on sympathy. it allow consumer have the ability to buy because of the price is set at they purchasing power ability.

Field Trip to Tiong Bharu 2

  This shop is pretty cool. Its name is stangerlets. They shop selling a lot of diferent such as handmade bath soap , ceremics , accessories  . The most unique thing is they provide hand made icecream . Depend on singapore hot weather ,they give customer cooling down . Its not common to see this in the other shop.

I find a very interesting shop name is BOOKS ACTUALLY . Go inside i can see a lof of different kinds of book but i also can see a lot of childhood memories things . i asked stuff they say the owner want bring customer back to the childhood when reading books. So i think this shop very interesting . If you go inside to find books but also can see a lots of interesting small things maybe also will buy .

And this shop very interesting things is they selling a lot of empty bottles. The staff told me that kinds of bottles only sell in old time but when owner find these things she think old people will like it so she put in the shop.Actually these bottles really attract a lot of old people .

This is a shoe repair store .Speacial thing is actually this shop is in somebodys home . its open by a aunt and uncle . They use old skills to help people repair shoes .Nowadays these kind of shops already become less and less .

What is  Culture brailing  ?

“Cultural Brailing” is a term created by American Forecaster Faith Popcorn. Brailing is a way of communicating language through bumps on a page.  We take that same technique here and feel the bumps in culture.  The bumps are everything.  Again it is about using all of your senses: things that you see, things that you taste, things that you hear.  For example, it could be a matter of walking into a retail store and noticing the lighting, the music, feeling the different textures, just fully immersing yourself into whatever environment that you are in. Beside that, it also require our hyper observant and awareness to the surrounding, constantly reach out for new stuff in the market such in professions, societies, counties or industries.

This week we went to the library for secondary research trend forecasting journals

 

we observing trend from fashion magazine and find out what methods they produced .

 

we can study the method they used to compile the trend information with Evidence or Dictatorial. And these magazines also tell us what audience they target and this book is good for who ,suuitable for who .

This week we do the secondery research about 4 designer which be introduced in week 1 .And discuss in diferent group find who they are what they do and their methods.

WEEK 1 session 

 

Talk about what is forecasting and how old time spread the information. And we find some different ways .Such as the old people use six sense or weather forecast what is going to happen in the future 

 

In the class we discuss in diferent group and create the mind map . In general ,we put the fashion as theme and sepearte to the statement,design ,cloth ,lifestyle ,luxury and so on .

 

At last , teacher let us to search 4 designer which name is yinggao ,BMW,GINA ,raha hadid .,marc newson .
